Wisconsin Washers and Metal Stampings
Our precision metal stamping technology gives Muthig Industries Inc. of Wisconsin the flexibility to produce flat, special, cup, wave and custom washers including circle blanks and stamped components to meet your precise requirements.
That same advanced metal stamping technology gives us the advantage when manufacturing washers and custom metal stampings from a variety of materials including mild (low carbon) steel, high carbon steel, high carbon heat treated steel, copper, brass, plastic and our specialties 201LN, 300 series and 17-7 stainless steel.
When needed, we can quickly tap the I.D. of your washers in our custom Bowl Feeding Tapping Machine. The speed of this machine is 4 to 5 times faster than a secondary hand operation; and can tap short cup and offset washers also.
Muthig's computerized state of the art feeding systems, which is designed for producing washers and other small metal stampings, save up to 15% on material usage. This system runs material up to 6" wide and automatically computes its own pattern for placing parts precisely across the width and length of the coil. As a result, your product is produced more efficiently, while saving time, material and cost. This technology reduces the inventory of specific widths of coils, which in turn allows Muthig Industries to better react to your needs. We stock steel and stainless in many of the highly used gages so your job can go into a press immediately to "quickly fill" your orders from our Wisconsin location.
For a complete finish, Muthig Industries offers plating and any heat treating your washer project might require with material mill certification. Plating services include passivation, cadmium, zinc, nickel, anodizing, E-coat, powder painting, chromate and more.
